What you agree to when you use RumyFriend — the website, the app, and the games.
Version 2026-09-12
You must be at least 13 years old to have a RumyFriend account. If you are under 18 you can play the games and watch the show, but Meet — the part of RumyFriend where adults find people near them — is turned off for your account.
You need a real birthdate on your account. We use it for your age and your zodiac sign; other members only ever see your age.
One account per person. Use a name people would recognize you by — games greet you by your first name, and other members see it.
Keep your password to yourself. Anything done from your account is treated as done by you.
Usernames are first come, first served. We may reclaim one that impersonates someone else or that nobody has used.
Your photos, your words, your action plans — they stay yours. By posting them you give RumyFriend permission to show them to other members inside the app, and nothing more.
Post only what you have the right to post. Do not upload someone else's photo as your own.
No nudity, nothing sexual involving minors, nothing that exists to harass someone. We remove it and we may end the account.
RumyFriend is for meeting people. Harassment, threats, hate, and spam end accounts.
If someone makes you uncomfortable, block and report them. Reports are read by a person.
Do not use RumyFriend to sell things, recruit, or run a scheme.
RumyFriend does not run background checks, and we do not verify that anyone is who they say they are. Meet in public the first time, tell someone where you are going, and leave whenever you want to.
What happens when you meet someone is between you and them. RumyFriend is how you found each other, not a party to it.
RumyFriend may determine your approximate location — accurate to about 1 kilometer — from the network your connection arrives on, as reported by Cloudflare, whenever you use the website, the app, or any RumyFriend game. This is used to show how far away other members are. It is never precise enough to identify an address, and your exact location is never shown to anyone. Paid members can turn this off at any time.
Some features ask for more than that. If you make or join an action plan — arranging to actually meet someone somewhere — RumyFriend asks your device for a precise location, because an approximate one is no use for meeting at a specific place. Your device asks you first, every time, and you can say no; saying no means you cannot use action plans.
Your exact position is never shown to another member. What they see is a distance.
The wording you agreed to when you signed up is kept on your account, along with its version (currently 2026-09-12), so you can always find out exactly what you accepted.
Joining a game is free. Hosting one costs RumyFriend real money, so hosting is limited: every account gets one free try of each game, and after that hosting spends a host credit.
You earn credits mainly by referring friends who actually sign up. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and do not expire unless your account ends.
We may grant unlimited hosting to particular accounts at our discretion.
Paid membership adds controls over your own account — including turning approximate location off entirely, which stops RumyFriend recording where you are and removes what it already holds.
Turning a setting back on is always free, whether or not you are still paying.
You can stop using RumyFriend whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account.
We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, and we will say why unless saying why would put someone at risk.
When these terms change in a way that affects what you agreed to, we will tell you in the app rather than quietly editing this page.
